Gifts appealing to the 5 senses–our basic way of perceiving and interacting with our environment–are good gifts. Thus– ideas for combatting the dreary, shorter days of autumn that will soon be upon us, especially for older people who live in assisted living, rehab, other facilities.

We discussed “taste” in the last post. Because tomorrow is September 9, Grandparents Day, gifts that incorporate or feature the 4 remaining senses, will dominate tomorrow’s continuation of this post.
